So, I went with a few coworkers tonight to see the "Body Worlds" exhibit here in Dallas.  I was totally amazed by the beauty & the intricacies of the human body.  I think the most interesting was the "Tai Chi" man.  I felt connected to this human being because I noticed that he also had the same surgery that I had 14 years ago this July.  (My jaw is pieced together by plates of metal & surgical screws.  I can't look at any x-ray of my face, it freaks me out too much.)  I highly recommend going to see this exhibit!  It will leave you in awe of your body!

Am I a bad person?  I haven't seen my family since Thanksgiving & I'm really wishing I *HAD* stayed down in Columbus.

It's weird for me, since I am not close to any of these people.  I've only been around them for a few hours & I want to turn around & leave, but, I'm trying to be *good*, since it's Mama's Day on Sunday & I'll be flying home that day.  So, I'm here till Saturday nite, which as soon as I get back into Columbus, I want to go out bar hopping.

So, on a whim, I decided to fly into Columbus this week, because I didn't want to sit all by lonesome in big D.  What really cornfuses me is my BF's reaction to seeing me when I arrived yesterday.  He was like "Oh...you're here." And the attitude was like that of a dead slug.  Gee, what a way to welcome yer girl back from living half way accross the god damned country!

And top it all off, my period started today...  }-[

So... it's another ho-hum day for me today.  Nothing fan-tabulous happening with me.  I'm back in Minney-so-TA, again for work.  But, at least I'm here with two of my work friends, & it's not the sausage fest that usually my job is!

I revisited my "Mecca" (aka the Mall of America), cause I'm superficial & I *heart* shopping.  :-)

So, yesterday, I bought my 1st ever digital camera.  Nothing fantastic, just something simple to occupy my time & *hopefully* talent.  It's pink & kinda girly.  :-)

So, look for pictures to start popping up pretty soon...

Buena sera everyone!

I was bored & was googling last night one of my favorite poets, ee cummings.  I thought I'd post one of his poems that quickly caught my attention (and reminded me of why I loved him in high school...)  Enjoy!

i carry your heart with me
by e. e. cummings

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in my heart)
i am never without it (anywhere
i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)
i fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart
i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

My New Tattoo!

So, for awhile now, (well, since I got my 1st tatt...) I've wanted to get another ONE. But, you must understand, I'm of the attitude that what you have tattooed on your body should be of a (rut roh, here comes the hippy dippy trippy new age grrl) spiritual meaning.

And since this year, come June 19th, will mark my 30th year on this sweet little planet we call Earth, I started thinking to myself.  So, I go to myself, "Self, you NEED to get that next tattoo!"  With that in mind, my dear friend, KungFu Carrie & I went last Saturday to get my new tattoo.

As I mentioned previously, I don't put stupid shit on my body.  All my tatt's speak to me on a spiritual nature.  So, my brand new tattoo is an Inuit inspired moon.  (Hopefully in the next couple of days I should have a picture posted.  It's appropriate since my 1st tattoo is a sun that I designed, that is around my belly button.  It was also so appropriate that Kungfu Carrie was there for my 2nd tattoo, as she was 10 years ago for my 1st.   Yea! for BFF's!  Now, all she needs to do is get hers...)  My newest tattoo is located on my right shoulder blade & I have to say, it looks pretty darn bitchin' if I have to say so myself.

So, if you are EVER in Columbus, Ohio & you want a totally kick ass tattoo artist & studio to get it done well & is affordable, go see Shannon at Fate Tattoo!

God... I can't wait for tomorrow.  I hate being brokey-brokey.  :-(

I'm really honestly thinking about taking on a part time job on the weekend to pay off my freakin' debts.  That way then, my debt can go away for good.

How funny... "Been Caught Stealin' " is playing...

Greetings All~

Why have I not updated this blog in forever & a day?  Would you believe that I was kidnapped by aliens, and they used a special probe on me to forget all about updating my freaking blog!?!?

Nah, I wouldn't believe that crock o' you know what either.  It's because I'm a slacker.  Majorly hardcore.  I forget all about technology, at times.  Seriously, I think I could start my own group/religion, the fake Amish, because, that's how much I avoid the technology...

Anywho, here's the brief recap of my life since I last posted in  January 2006:

I moved far away from Ohio.

I turned 29

I now live in Dallas, TX, but work all over the country.  (Travel perks roq majorly hard core! My trip to Paris is going to happen!)

I am trying to very slowly get the people who I love & care about to move down here to the Big D.

I somehow became "popular" overnight.  Maybe it's confidence with fearing the uncertainty of turning 30 this year.

I still can't figure out men for the love of all things holy.  My sage advice (taken from way back in the day in college):  Boys are stupid.  Forget throwing rocks at them, throw the largest boulders you can possibly find.

Check back in a couple of days & you should find out more 411...

Truthiness??? What?!?! That's not a word...

Just because someone uses these words on a 24-hour cable news channel, (or as in the case of "truthiness", a parody of a cable news show) doesn't mean that it's a real word. But, I digress, Shakespeare was the one responsible for creating as much as 1 in 10 of the words in his plays...
